The partyroom was clean, spacious, and had a homey feel, perfect for large gatherings of friends or family.

This time, I came with friends to celebrate a birthday. There was plenty of Switch, karaoke equipment, and board games.

Unlimited drinks were provided; the selection of paper-packaged drinks wasn't mainstream, but they suited most tastes.

The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful.

****The partyroom is super close to the subway station—I'd definitely consider it again next time! (/^▽^)/

First of all, the shop owner is incredibly kind. They explained the venue in great detail and were extremely polite. Plus, even though there were 3 people who couldn't get in before we arrived, it wasn't a problem. There were originally 10 people, but after the initial 7, the owner didn't mind at all.

Also, when we were getting our hair done inside, we accidentally broke a decoration, but the owner didn't mind at all and even asked if we were happy with our hair done.

In short, they are the best shop owner I've ever met! 👍👍

My second time at Weiwei Workshop

The first time was a dog party

And this was my second time, also a dog party

I chose it because the place is big, clean, and dogs are allowed in. $150 for 3 hours of playtime including a drink is a reasonable price.

I didn't have any particularly bad feelings after my first visit, except that it had a few more "consignment items" than other party rooms.

So, seeing that 90% of the attendees found the location convenient, I decided to patronize it again.

Unfortunately… this time, I carelessly bumped into the "consignment item" shelf

and broke one of the "consignment items"

(You can see in the picture that all the items are consignment items, and they're all made of glass, with the tallest being a vase.)

Since everyone was surrounded by furry friends, they immediately picked them up, so I immediately went to get a broom from a staff member.

I asked the staff member for a broom as soon as I entered (of course, I only ask after breaking something, right?) (Don't tell me there's no one to clean for you?) But the staff didn't immediately bring me a broom.

They asked me all sorts of questions. When I mentioned I'd broken a "consignment item" on the shelf, she immediately offered to pay for it. While getting the broom, she said, "Let me ask the owner how much it is first."

After I finished sweeping and returned the broom, the staff had already written a receipt (they hadn't even asked if anyone/anyone was injured).

Upon closer inspection, all the items had no price tags, meaning she could name her price. Luckily, she was humane enough not to try and rip me off; she only charged me HK$280 (saying it was originally HK$360, a discount).

Of course, I didn't try to renege on the payment. I understood it was my carelessness and that I'd wasted the consignor's design. I was willing to pay. After our group finished playing, we paid and settled on the HK$280 compensation before leaving Weiwei Workshop. Only then did the owner contact my friend. (Because the room was booked by my friend)

After reading the conversation, I realized

the crux of the matter is
she knew the cabinet was shaking

but didn't address it earlier, affecting the guests

and she blamed it on poor communication. I really don't understand why we consumers, renting a party room, didn't ask us any further questions after stating we were bringing pets. Isn't this a case of poor communication on our part?

Furthermore, having glass consignment items on the shelf, items that customers could potentially lose money on, and without price tags—isn't this a mismanagement on the part of the shop owner?

Therefore, the shop owner neglected four things:

1) The glass item was placed on an unsealed shelf (note…not a cabinet), and the shelf was easily shaken, posing a risk of accident;

2) The shelf was shaking, and the staff knew this (as she herself stated in the screenshot that the shelf "might be a little shaky"), but didn't repair it immediately, disregarding customer safety;

3) The item wasn't priced, and the arbitrary pricing was somewhat fraudulent;

4) The staff knew the item was broken and immediately reported it to the boss. Shortly after, they gave me a receipt, reminding me to pay compensation upon leaving. This means the owner was aware of the incident and had the staff collect the money from me. Later, the staff told the boss we were dissatisfied with their handling, and only then did the boss offer a half-price discount to appease us. This level of service is unacceptable these days, and both the staff and the owner need to improve.

So, it's too late for the owner to say they'll try to improve now.

Is buying a sturdy cabinet really that expensive?

The place is large, clean, and pet-friendly, which is great, but unfortunately, there are so many potential risks. I can't help but disclose this to the general public. If you have young children, pets, elderly relatives, or a large group of friends who want to have fun, you should carefully consider whether you should choose Weiwei Workshop. If you get injured while playing and have to pay compensation, then it's not worth it, right?
