Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Causeway Bay by IHG

Stayed here for 3 nights and had a good overall experience. By Hong Kong standards, the room was quite spacious and the bed was large and comfortable.

The bathroom was well equipped with both a bathtub and a separate shower, and the water pressure was excellent.

The room did have a slight smell, which could be improved, but it didn’t significantly affect my stay. I used the gym during my visit and found it decent for a hotel fitness facility.

Breakfast was good, although I would have appreciated a bit more variety in the selection. The staff were consistently friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout my stay.

The location is convenient, with an MTR station within walking distance, making it easy to get around the city. Overall, a comfortable stay with a few minor areas for improvement.

Great experience overall. Excellent location near Times Square. Service by hotel staff from front desk, concierge and housekeeping was very good. Rooms were kept clean and spacious.

I am a Gold Member of IGH and have been for many years.
I stayed at this hotel last month and experienced terrible service and spent my stay with no reverse cycle air conditioning. When I raised this issue with the staff I was brushed off, not offered any alternative room. They offered me portable heater and assured me a full refund would be arranged due to this issue. I have since arrived home and reached out to be advised that I can have a free room upgrade next time. There will be no next time, I wont be staying here again.
They sent their technician up to have a look at the vents and when I advised I need to switch the modes The technician advised that it does not work at all. I dont know why they sent a technician up when they knew it didnt work.

Michelle at the front desk was so kind and helpful. She upgraded me to a deluxe room on a higher floor, though there was a short 15-minute wait. However, she kindly offered me a welcome drink and a snack in the lounge, which was a wonderful surprise. Such excellent service and a generous upgrade on my first stay as an IHG member – definitely worth it!

During my recent stay at Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Causeway Bay, I experienced something that I believe other travelers should be aware of.

At approximately 3:00 AM, my room door was opened while I was inside the room. I was asleep at the time and was suddenly awakened by the sound of the door unlocking and opening. It was extremely alarming.

The hotel later explained that a staff member delivering amenities mistakenly opened my room. Regardless of the reason, having someone open a guest’s room at 3 AM without proper confirmation is a serious security concern.

What disappointed me most was not only the incident itself, but the handling afterward. The assistant manager apologized and offered two complimentary drinks as compensation. For a situation involving guest safety and a late-night room entry, this response felt dismissive and lacking in seriousness.

I am sharing this experience so that future guests can make informed decisions. Safety and proper incident handling are important aspects of any hotel stay.
