We came to Le Petit Chef on Mother’s Day as a special treat for my son and myself. What a fun dining experience! Previously I had doubts about whether my 5 year old will enjoy the 5 course dinner with dishes like burrata salad, bouillabaisse seafood soup, wagyu steak etc but I was pleasantly surprised that he ate every course. We loved the animations and seeing the different scenes of the Petit Chef “cooking” on our table. Little gimmicks like shaving your own truffle, torching your own crème brûlée added to the fun. The staff were cheerful, friendly and proactively offered to take photos for guests. The animator chef did a great job to set the stage and introduced every course with just the right amount of storytelling. This completely exceeded my expectations. Cant wait go back and experience the other show!
Overall, the dining experience was quite unique. The projected animations were cute and engaging, clearly showing me the ingredients and seasonings used to cook the food. Secondly, the servers dressed in different outfits according to the storylines, which helped me immerse myself in the experience. Their warm hospitality further enhanced the dining experience.
La Petite Chef Hong Kong was a fun and memorable dining experience overall. The food was well-prepared, with pretty decent portions and good flavours that met our expectations. You participate in certain steps in preparing some parts of your own meal which could was entertaining.
The service was excellent — attentive, friendly, and very professional throughout the evening. Our server spent the time explaining the ingredients of the drinks we had which was very much appreciated.
The atmosphere was good, with the interactive video presentations adding a unique twist, though they felt a bit short and, as you’d expect, is the whole gimmick. Don't expect a very intimate dining experience, because you are seated in a long table setting - 8 people per table. It's not shoulder to shoulder, but definitely won't be an intimate experience, and you'll hear everything the people seated next to/arround you are saying.
Even so, the creativity of the concept and the quality of the food made it a good experience. The total came out to be around HK$2000 per person for "The Beginning" experience plus drinks and tips.

The main host and projector animations were on point, very engaging and fun dining experience. Although they disclaimer that you share tables with other guests, there is plenty of space and it does not feel that way at all which was a pleasant surprise.
Food was very good too and each dish had an interactive component which was fun.
My only drawback was at the end when everyone was given their photos and a “Le Petit Chef” bag for the photos to take home but we were the only table to not get our photo or a bag. We had to ask staff initially for the photo which they followed up, and then also had to ask for the bag which was a bit disappointing considering everyone else had been given one without asking.
We tried Show 2 Le Petit Chef and Friends. The atmosphere was great—as soon as you step in, there’s a joyful vibe, and this has everything to do with the staff’s efforts. The servers really go out of their way to keep the pleasant atmosphere alive, and the service was excellent. Our server was Mary, and she provided us with a top-notch level of attentiveness. The food was decent but nothing surprising. The only downside was the restaurant’s decor—it felt like Show 2 was hastily converted from a hotel event room, which seemed a bit sloppy and didn’t quite match the dining theme, making it hard to stay immersed. The kids were really engaged and had a blast, so overall, it’s a great family dining experience.
