Nina Hotel Island South

STAFF/CUSTOMER SERVICE: I stayed at Nina Hotel Island South for several days in early April 2026 and was blown away by the superb hospitality and kindness shown by the hotel staff (big thanks to Johnny & Roman! The best people!). The team at Nina Hotel Island South truly went above and beyond what would be expected to ensure that my stay was comfortable and pleasant, and I will absolutely make this my regular return hotel for frequent trips back to Hong Kong. 10/10

FACILITIES: I was also very impressed with the new redesign and overall atmosphere of the hotel (I previously stayed here in October 2025 before renovations were complete and had a chance to experience the "before and after"). The new version of the hotel has a much brighter, lighter, and more contemporary feel with spacious rooms (especially by HK standards!), an excellent lobby/bar area, and a proper gym that is encased by glass on three sides with a nice mountain view. The sleek espresso/coffee machine in the lobby satisfied my caffeine addiction at the start of each day (and rendered the local Starbucks unnecessary--sorry baristas!), and I really enjoyed sipping my latte whilst taking in hotel's updated ambience. I didn't get a chance to make use of the stylish new bar, but hope to do so on a return visit. 10/10

LOCATION:
It's really hard to beat the location, especially for this price point. Located just a couple minutes walk from Wong Chuk Hang MTR Station, you're just two stops (about 5-6 minutes) from Admiralty Station on the busier side of the island. A quick transfer at Admiralty can put one in Central/Wanchai/Causeway Bay in a matter of minutes (less than 20-25 minutes from the time you walk out of the hotel). Alternatively, one can take a minibus and be in the south side's Aberdeen in about a minute (or do what I do: walk) or take the MTR two stations in the opposite direction and quickly reach (5 minutes) South Horizons MTR, if that's your destination. I believe that there's an airport bus that runs directly from Hong Kong International Airport to a bus stop mere meters away from the hotel, but I didn't personally use it. All in all, a super convenient and accessible location. 10/10

CONCLUSION:
Fantastic hotel staffed by the best people in a supremely convenient location. Hard to beat what Nina Hotel Island South has to offer!

We stayed here for its proximity to where my family lives. It is also very conveniently located to buses and MTR so you can get into town within 20-30 minutes depending on where you want to go.

If you're going to Ocean Park then this is a decent location.

The rooms are very comfortable. I really like that they provide you with these refillable drinking tumblers made of glass (you can purchase them if you want to take them home). At the end of the hallway there are self serve water dispenser with both hot and cold water.

Rooms are a decent size for HK but not big -- suffices.

I visited in Mar 2026, hotel location is quite nearby Ocean Park which was convenient for me. I booked hotel room for 10 days but I checked in hotel room after 2 days of my booking date and It was informed operations about that too. I was expecting to reduce the amount but considering terms that not happened. No water or welcome tea. Fridge was empty :). House keeping staff was good at work keeping room clean and neat. Thanks for your service.

We stayed here for an extended period with our baby and had a wonderful experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional – always helpful, never intrusive. The rooms are spotless and surprisingly spacious by Hong Kong standards.
The location in Wong Chuk Hang offers great transport links (MTR station right nearby), making it easy to explore the city. We felt very welcome and comfortable throughout our entire stay.
Would absolutely recommend.

I stayed in Nina Hotel Island South for 1.5 years, I was truly amazed at how the entire team would go the extra mile to provide the best service ever. I am exceptionally vigilant about hygiene and safety, and the NHIS team would go out of their way to ensure I will be worry-free. The professional service NHIS provided was second to none. I had stayed in buildings with no service whatsoever or people with a devil-may-care attitude, this will not make me feel secure. With the NHIS team, I always felt safe no matter what happened because their team members, individually and collectively, always were keen to help with the utmost professionalism! Hats off to Roman, Johnny, Kelvin, Cathy, Fannie, Fiona, cleaning ladies Chiu and To and another with a beautiful smile (I forgot her name). Thanks so much for your warm hospitality!
